A RINA network consist of three parts
1.A RINA server that collects all information for the entire network. The server can be hosted by tye customer or the customer can choose a Foss hosted server.
2.One or multiple NIR clients that communicate with the RINA server. Today RINA supports all Foss NIR instruments used for Feed and Forage analysis.
3.A network manager who uses the internet to communicate with all clients via the RINA server. The network manager can sit anywhere in the world and uses Internet to communicate with the network via the RINA server.
Simplified, RINA serves the following three main purposes:
1. Prediction model and product support: Automated updating of Prediction Model Profiles from Centre to the Clients. Automated updating of Product Profiles (the "Product Tree") from Centre to the Clients.
2. Data management: Automatic uploading of all Client data including predicted results and outlier information allowing central reporting and backup. Automatic uploading of performance test and check cell results
3. Surveillance: Semi-automated surveillance of instrument and prediction model performance Simplified remote trouble-shooting.
