Foundations laid for FOSS Innovation Centre
Good progress is being made with the FOSS innovation centre with foundations, parking and cellar construction well underway.
The innovation centre will form the hub of a FOSS global network of development resources, headed from FOSS headquarters in Hillerød and including more
than 200 experts in Denmark, Sweden, Russia and China.
The design of the building is also intended to lift innovation activities even further through cross-disciplinary collaboration in the development of new dedicated analytical solutions.

FOSS was originally founded on the success of an innovative new grain moisture meter launched over 50 years ago. Over the years, a steady flow of innovative analytical solutions have secured financial strength and a world-leading position in the field of routine analysis of food and agricultural products.
The centre is due for completion in December 2012. It will be built according to strict energy efficiency and insulation targets and employees will be able to take advantage of chargers for electric vehicles and keep fit in a new fitness centre.
The new site is about 2 km from the current FOSS headquarters are in Slangerupgade, Hillerød where the company started in 1956. The strong connection to the town is maintained with a panoramic view to the historic Frederiksborg Castle.
