Prestigious export award to FOSS
FOSS has today, Tuesday 20th of September 2011, received the King Frederik the Ninth’s Honorary Award. The award is in recognition of FOSS’ international success and achievements for Danish export.
It is an honour for us to receive this award. It symbolises the great work carried out by all employees, which in 2010 lead to a record year – a tendency which seems to continue this year. Also, we are very proud to be recognised for our international success and our contributions to enhance Danish export. The award will definitely be of benefit to us in future customer relations, says CEO Torben Ladegaard.
Focus is on growth through substantial investments in emerging markets and development of innovative solutions - activities for which FOSS is now being awarded.
In the BRIC countries we have the greatest growth potential. Especially China, where our business growth rate is approaching 40 percent and currently China is our third largest market. It is therefore evident that China together with India, Brazil and Russia will be our focus in coming years. We intend also to have more presence in the “Next-11” countries, such as Indonesia, Turkey and Mexico, explains Torben Ladegaard.
In order to continue to develop, adjust to the market and be ahead of the game, FOSS will continue to invest heavily in innovative activities.
Product development is within the genes of FOSS and our yearly investment of more than 10 percent of turnover in these activities is crucial for our future success. Additionally, about 98 percent of our revenue is achieved outside Denmark; hence it lies within the genes to establish ourselves globally and continue to expand our business with new innovative products, concludes Torben Ladegaard.
The award was today presented to CEO Torben Ladegaard and Chairman of the Board Peter Foss by His Royal Highness the Danish Prince Consort at a ceremony at Fredensborg Castle in Denmark.
