FOSS releases second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report
The new FOSS 2014 CSR report has just been published highlighting our performance and objectives in the environmental, social and ethics areas. The report also demonstrates our commitment to the UN Global Compact and shows our progress against the Compact’s ten principles in human and labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption.
Our company vision is to contribute to the sustainable use of our planet’s agricultural resources and thus to the nutrition and health of the people of the world and the report highlights the social and environmental benefits of many of our products. The report also addresses some of the challenges we face, such as the supply chain area and our efforts to embed CSR in our organisation.
In this years report we also report on how we engage with society. For the second year in a row, FOSS was part of ‘The World’s Best News’ a Danish initiative to inform the public on progress against the UN Millennium Development Goals. In February 2013, FOSS became the first company in Denmark to establish collaboration with Glad Mad - a culinary school in Denmark for people with physical or mental disabilities. Glad Mad now operates the FOSS canteen serving over 200 employees with fresh, seasonal and organic food at competitive prices.
