Danish Prime minister visits FOSS
Prime minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen visited FOSS headquarters in Hillerød on 5th May as part of a political agenda highlighting the importance of business growth for the future of Denmark.
Following a guided tour of production facilities he gave a presentation to around 200 FOSS employees in which he stressed the importance of growth through investment, both in technological
research and in the logistics of exporting to customers worldwide.
“FOSS has come through the financial crisis in good form and is in a strong position in the international market,” said Løkke. “This company is an example - we need to use more money on scientific research.”
FOSS CEO Torben Ladegaard outlined the increasing importance of technology development in making the best use of natural resources. “We have seen dramatic price rises in feed and food that can have a significant affect on a large proportion of the world’s population,” he said. “Research and development is part of our DNA, which is why we invest 10-12% of our annual turnover in new innovative technology.”
